Privacy policy

1. Introduction

Clarity One takes the confidentiality and security of the personal data collected through this website seriously. This policy sets out what data we handle, what we use it for, how long we keep it and what rights you have, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

3. What we collect

The quote form collects the following:

  • Who you are: first name, surname
  • How to reach you: work email, telephone number
  • About your company: company name, industry, headcount, revenue, number of client accounts to chase, outstanding balance, DSO, and whether you trade in France or internationally
  • Background: what you are trying to fix, when you want to start, and anything you add in the comments box

We do not collect any special category data within the meaning of article 9 of the GDPR.

4. What we use it for

Your data is used only to:

  • Work out a price for your situation
  • Come back to you to go through your requirements and firm up the proposal
  • Keep track of your enquiry

We do not use it for third-party marketing, automated profiling or resale.

Separately from the form, this website measures how well our adverts perform, but only if you agree to it. That measurement is described in section 9 and is never matched against anything you send us through the form.

5. Legal basis

We rely on:

  • Your consent, given when you choose to submit the form (article 6.1.a of the GDPR)
  • Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (article 6.1.b of the GDPR)

6. How long we keep it

We keep the data for:

  • Three years from our last contact, if the enquiry does not lead to a working relationship
  • The life of the contract, then five years as a record, if a contract is signed

After that it is deleted or anonymised.

7. Who sees it

Only Jean-Charles Mellot, who runs Clarity One, has access to your data. None of it is sold, passed on or disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes.

The data passes through these processors:

  • Netlify, Inc., website hosting and form handling, data held in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework
  • Microsoft Outlook and Office 365, receiving email and booking calls, data held in the European Union
  • Google Ireland Limited, measuring how well our adverts perform, only where you have agreed to it, data may be transferred to the United States under the Data Privacy Framework

8. Transfers outside the European Union

Handling form submissions involves a transfer to the United States (Netlify). That transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and by Netlify's adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which together provide protection equivalent to the GDPR.

If you accept advertising measurement cookies, a second transfer to the United States takes place (Google). It is covered by the same standard contractual clauses and by Google LLC's adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

9. Cookies and advertising measurement

Two kinds of tracker may be used on this website.

Strictly necessary cookies. Set by our host Netlify to make the site work and to stop automated form submissions. In line with CNIL guidance, these do not require your consent.

Advertising measurement cookies. We run adverts on Google and use Google Ads to see which of them bring people to this site. These cookies are set by Google Ireland Limited and are switched on only if you click "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit. They let us connect a quote request or a booked call back to the advert that brought you here and, where applicable, show you our adverts again on sites in the Google network. Google sets their lifetime, which does not exceed thirteen months.

If you decline. No advertising cookie is set and no identifier that could recognise you is sent. Google receives only an anonymous, cookieless signal used for aggregate counting. You keep full access to the site.

Changing your mind. We remember your choice for six months, after which the banner is shown again. You can change it at any time by clicking Manage cookies, a link that also sits in the footer of every page.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access your data, including confirmation that we hold it and a copy of it
  • Have it corrected if it is wrong or incomplete
  • Have it erased, often called the right to be forgotten
  • Restrict how we use it
  • Object to our using it
  • Receive it in portable form
  • Withdraw your consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@clarityone.fr. You will have a reply within one month.

11. Complaining to the CNIL

If you believe we are handling your data improperly, you can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr.

12. Security

Clarity One applies appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration and disclosure: HTTPS throughout, secure hosting with Netlify, restricted access and regular backups.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the regulations or the technology change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Do check back from time to time.
